Employees of law enforcement agencies across Stanly County may nominate a sworn officer who went above and beyond the call of duty while demonstrating heroic work and dedication to law enforcement and community.

Nomination Forms for four awards to be presented by the Officer Jeff Shelton Foundation on May 2, 2019 at the 2019 Thin Blue Line Silent Auction & Awards Dinner.  Community members are encouraged to submit local officers for the Everyday Hero Award.  Click on the links for nomination forms.  All submissions should be received by April 12, 2019.  

This award will be given to an officer who is well known and respected in the department and/or county as someone who always has their fellow officers' backs.  Sworn law enforcement officers who work in Stanly County may nominate their fellow officers.

A community nominated award.  We are asking citizens of Stanly County to nominate a law enforcement officer who has made a difference in their neighborhood, town, city or county.  Officer must serve citizens of Stanly County.

This award will be given to a sworn law enforcement officer with 20 or more years of
distinguished service who had had a profound and positive impact to their community, their profession and Stanly County law enforcement as a whole during the length of their career.

Award  recipients will be chosen by an independent panel of judges selected by the Officer Jeff Shelton Foundation.
